The Lighthouse

I stand here on the rocks
my body tall and proud
my light is turned on by my keeper
who always whistles loud
my light beams brightly
donw on to the sea
showing the passing ships
there passage to safety
but one day no keeper
i waited patiently
then suddenly
a rumble
a shudder
whats happening to me
but light beams brightly
for all the world to see
but it is not turned on by my keeper
but automatically
