While half of the world is dreaming
A sullen soul keeps wandering
Outside the warmth of earth, trembling.

As my life moves shakily
Facing such a gloomy day
Without lady luck on the way.

No one traversed the roads of thorn just to see you
No one else willing sacrificed everything
No one but I whom your heart falters to know
Bothers not to ask why I have the look of lingering.

The smile stretched over thy lips
Held irresistible glee which everyone seeks
But the smile that gleams in your eyes
Can blow one’s heart up into the sky.

No flower as lovely as thee
Only you can give me glee
No mem’ry of yours ever vain
Spontaneously sweet like the flow of rain.

You came like the swift-footed Hermes
A master thief in the daylight
A divine thief of hearts who does not miss
Swift as sparrows in their terrified flight.

Listen to the voice of palpable acerbity
Watch and stare at temper’s acrimony
The nuances, inevitable as they may seem
To one’s vitality angels acclaim.

I’ll clutch the stars to my heart
Sustain them with my blood redder still

And the thirst for fame to nothing we instill.
