Every morning when I look in the mirror
I see more wrinkles appear,
My nasal hairs protuding
And tufts of grey stick out from each ear.

The last snow of winter melts away
It didn't stay for long,
Now the blackbird in the hedgerow
Sings his springtime song.

To them so many years have passed,
With all the things that don't last.
...

The cold winter wind bites,
Herolding the start of shorter days
And longer nights.
...

Why do some say that you have gone to heaven?
Yet others say you are no more? ,
Why was you taken from me
What was it all for? .
...

Poor old ginger tom
A poor old stray,
When I try to stoke him
He runs away.
...

Another disaster
Another spoil,
A natural wilderness
Tarnished by oil.
...

Freezing winds
A harsh terrain,
Of icy glaciers
And tundra plain,
...

Music brings out those memories
From the back of your mind,
Those favourite tunes can remind us
Of some special place and time.
...

Too many of my good dreams
Will never see the light of day,
As with all those special moments
Like the autumn leaves get blown away.
