many years they walked hand in hand
they stood strong side by side
...
The Tree
once just an acorn on the ground many years ago
the smallest of acorns had a dream of a life not yet fulfilled
...
oh Twinkie you are my friend
you are always there until the end
creamy filled goodness thru the night
my sponge cake, loving, happy delight
...
She stood in front of the mirror for her reflection to see
'mirror mirror' was her crying plea
...
The Sun shown brightly blazing in the midday sky
The man pondered precariously about eating it none knows why
He took a deep breath and looked up bitterly at the radiated glow
He slowly opened clenched teeth to reveal a tongue wet for its foe
...
six more feet is all he thought
six more long hard feet
six more feet to the finish line
in mere moments it would all be over
...
rustling wind and whispers in my ear
she always leans in to tell me things
that no one else should hear
whispers on my mind
...
she is trembling with every breath
her sobbing is racking her body uncontrollably
she cries out as she can't take the hurt anymore
tears stream down her face unfettered
...
every time i dream of chocolate -covered delight
i smell and taste all the flavors in the middle of the night
caramel, vanilla, raspberries and cream
all the flavors of you are what i dream...
...
salt flavored sweat filled tears
finger nails cracked and dirty from digging down
ripped scratched flesh
struggling against the weight of my arms
...
chains of doubt
shackled to this life
weighed down with guilt
buried with strife
...
sexed up
lathered in your scent
sweat dripping off your chest
nipples erect on your breast
...
I wake up before you every morning
just to catch a glimpse.. of the sunlight
as it soaks your body in all its glory
I watch the way the light and shadow
...
i paid for a ticket to witness tricks for a fee
saw a body in half for applause and wicked glee
...
A tree hovering over a placid pool
branches swaying and caressing the water
tracing faint etches of silver through the glistening
canvas of liquid...
...
she carried the words upon her lips
as he turned and walked away...
she couldn't force them out nor let them slip
those three words she wanted to say...
...
lush lavish landscape that looms
fragrant flowers and tantalizing perfumes
bouyant bouncing pillows in the sky
effortless air display on high
...
the small boy walked down the road
smug and sad carrying a heavy load

Their Hands Held Firm
many years they walked hand in hand
they stood strong side by side
leaning on one another when times were hard
their hands were soft and smooth when they started their journey
their bodies were upright and solid
they walked with vigor and energy through life
always their hands were bonded
years would pass and hardships would beckon
one would lift as the other slowly fell
one would pull as the other lagged behind
one would caress when the other felt hurt
always their hands would call out to each other
through the struggles of life
their hands yearned for the touch of the others
they brought strength when their was weakness
each hand called the other hand home
their hands grew together in age
weather spots and callouses matching their grasp
they stooped and wavered as they walked
never loosing grip
never letting the other go
clasped in the comfort of the others arthritic joints
pulses felt through rough skin
they journeyed on swinging their arms
their pace slowed with time
but always they walked forward
together
their hands held firm
