It's like seeing lightnings from the sky
It's like finding the reasons why
It's like all you ever wanted is to cry
It's like you're never given a chance to try

Look at those footprints
How they stand out on sand
Look at that glowing splint
How it looks so beautiful in your hand

When you're gone
I feel like I can't move on
How I was left on those steps
Pondering over this mishap
...

If only I could cry my heart out
Run to one corner and just shout
Where I could kneel down and grasp sand
Feel the earth in my bare hands
...

The intricate pattern of a rose
Shining brightly as it glows
Full, sensuous lips
As unique as a solar eclipse
...

I wonder who dares to come up close
And give me a beautiful rose
I know it's gross
But who knows?

Suddenly you're the protagonist
And I became an optimist
Playing your role
As rich as gold

Your words are now so tasteless
Since when did you become so shameless?
