Shivering and cold
A young girl hides in silence
To young to have ever told

I am the kid you hit with a belt

You are my father screaming at me

I am a girl, hiding her shame
I am a student, making an impression
I am a sister, hiding depression

The end is near
And so I fear
I can’t go on
For I am gone

They left in groups
Came back in boxes
They fight and kill like Spanish foxes
One by one they came home sadly

Into the dark abyss
of emptiness I go
Falling deeper inside myself ~
the greatest shame I know.
