Faerie

A shrouded underbrush,
misty air,
sun glistens
against each
tiny particle of water.
Lilac and indigo
and violet and plum.
Gemstone colours,
like a peacock.
Water drips,
dropp by drop
from a leaf
and falls to the
fertile soil.
Absorbed,
instantly dissapearing.
Dappled light
through a spider's web.
Thin as gossamer.
A fluttering butterfly,
dances about,
senselessly.
his delicate wings,
moving quickly.
The low hum of the earth,
in B flat,
along with the
swallows singing.
along with the breeze
rustling.
And I,
residing on
the branch,
hum too.
And step off the the
wood beneath
my bare feet.
My wings catching me.
They flicker for a moment,
then resume their usual tempo.
I am still staring,
at the lively world
beneath me.
I dropp down.
I pass through
the mist and fly beneath
the spider's web.
I fly above the leaf.
I greet the butterfly
with a how do you do?
and exclaim!
I am off to meet
mustard seed,
and puck
care to come too?
