Ibrahim Sambo Poems
Wings Of Love
On colognes of mizzling heavens I swing to the rainbow sky I bliss in the ecstasy of the birds The world here is scenic, peaceful and pure
Hollow Palm Leaves
Like palm leaves Without the breeze The stillness of the heart Without its beats
For The Motherland
Tears Ooze from the rocks of my eyes Dropping Throbbing
Magic Is mystical Pleasing bewilderment Marvel
My Slender Rose
Snow Drizzles From her mouth And it kills with pride
A rocky tin town Buried in the sky Sprinkled between valleys And mountain's feet
I Feel It
It is written On the white sky Of your bold eyes I feel it in the warmth
Methinks My heart is china made Poor porcelain that easy breaks With both my hands so crystal clean
Voice Of Strings
Real love Speaks with voice of strings It kills the heart Softly, with facile strokes
Still In Your Cradle
Whip me with your love Oh mother Engrave more of you In my mind
Time flies On wings of winds Burning in flames Trembling in the wind
Sleeping humps Of flakes of gold fluttering To the tease
Letter To Zinet
On the damask Of the eastern star You blossom The twilight
Rainbow Of Waves
Rainbow Of waves Soft in its touch Caresses the lanky palms
Hollow Palm Leaves
Like palm leaves
Without the breeze
The stillness of the heart
Without its beats
Like the ocean
Without its waves
Engenders a silence
Without the dew
That washes its face
For the morning.
