The Present

I’ve calmed into a painstaking state of purity

As I verge into the ethereal soar of serenity

Whirled in the hub of my own construct

And reason dissolved for the purpose of salutary instruct

My whole essence evolved into the intent of a directive zephyr

An enthralling gasp enclosed by a wild fire

An equilibrium that succumbs to the wallow of antecedence

And also believes in the anticipatory hope of precedence



In this moment I perceive the joyous libretto of my opening opera

The musicality of the sobs and cheers, the intensive drama

The deliberate eyes and guiding hands into the journey

Reproofin’ in times rainy and sunny

I see the process- the vivid modellin’ by experienced puritans

The mandatory conformity into a culture, into a clan

The innate clutter shed by the scorch of time

Into the oblivious abyss of unneed and slime

In my naivetés I see the streak of paths carved out for me

Out of normative values and resolves on what I should be



I also perceive the superficial deductions in which I resided

Derogatory looks and reductions against which I decided

The shatterin’ quiver of “a building” by a revoltin’ quake

My progressional remake of myself for my own sake

Through courage and ways in essence stoic

I redeemed me from the regressive rhetoric

to reach this perspective through a process undulating in its ways

And in these times of introspective dialogues my lucidity prays



That in spite of the journey; my soul be undaunted

to all altruistic and the selfless causes of life

And when in consummation, the dust I bite

That the libretto of my requiem be unwonted

Not to complete the tradition of inhumation

but because of the indelibility of my impression
