Is it possible to feel like a child at such a wise age
Mind spinning like a merry-go-round
Rhythm of there hearts like a rope in double-dutch
Eyes wide with excitement and wonder

It's beating, yes;
Sending life through my veins;
It's clouding my judgment,
Making me feel so insane;

Pain enters his mind;
Suffering tattooed on his heart;
He grabs his guitar,
Right from the start;

Hot to touch, cold to love
Lips like blush, Free like doves
Trapped in corner, Eyes like dead
Lovely words, Messed up head

Heaven On Earth

I'm on a search for heaven,
And I find it in the strangest places;
In the flowers that take bloom;
In a childs' smiling face.

I have witnessed a quiet man,
Stand up for what he believes in.
I have seen the changing of the seasons.
I been woken up by the sun,
With a smile on my face;
I have seen light shine down on the darkest place.
I've seen the hardest working people,
Struggling for success,
Come home to three smiling faces,
With absolutely no regrets.

I've witnessed real love,
That a man has for his wife,
And the joy she has of knowing,
He comes home to only her every night.

I have seen leaves dance with the breeze;
And I've seen a lake provide joy,
For entire families.
I've felt the sun share its warmth,
During bone chilling days;
And I've seen rain unselfishly shower flowers,
Till the month of may.

Generation after generation,
As you search for peace within yourself;
You must look at the beauty around you,
At times it seems as though,
Heaven has found you.
