Coffee

I have such strong feelings for you that every second of every minute of every hour of every day is spent contemplating the right combination of 26 letters to define what you mean to me. But no jumble, mix and match or crossword seems to be able to correctly identify just what you are.

I want to ask what you are doing for the rest of your life. I fell in love. Right there. Hopelessly. Instantly yet slowly at the same time. Drunkenly stumbling over my own words like a toddler I was learning to walk learning to talk. Firing off as many questions which ricochet into answers to divide into new conversations in which I felt like you were a tree I had just discovered sprouting new limbs you are beautiful. And I am not saying it for your benefit I am saying it for mine. To reassure me that you are real. That this picturesque portrait of a girl I just met could possible hold the key to my happiness is standing right in front of me, staring at me, focused and intent. And by now I've realised that I haven't said anything for the past ten minutes and I have just been imaging our lives together always a thousand steps ahead of myself I need to take the first step and interrupt you as you smile through your eyes and call my name to bring me back to reality and I question. 'Coffee on Friday? '
