Biography of Jack Shaka
Jack Shaka was born in Kenya and grew up when Kenya was going through alot of ethnic clashes and clamour for multi-party in the 80's and 90's.
He studied Conflictology at UOC in Barcelona, Spain and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Political Economy in Switzerland.
He showed interest in the arts at an early age and has been working in the social movements since his teenage years.
BULLETS NO MORE was his first journalist documentary. The film focusing on the plight of the Internally Displaced Persons(IDPs) in Kenya during the post election violence of 2007-2008.He has since then done other documentaries on social issues.
His works in Peace, Conflict and Democratic Governance sector spans over a decade. His Magnum Opus, The book –‘The Refugee-Voiceless Voice’-focusing on plight of refugees came out 2008.He has since published other works.

By the river bank
The frogs croak and caress
Hoping along the river bank
From here to there
At a distant
The swallows twitter with fondness
The lilies rupture with the morning sun
The water reeds sway
