Jacob Moore Poems

Memories of laughter rush throughout my mind,
While flashes of what we used to be appear.
From role playing at the part,
To lying in the fresh spring grass.
...

I grow more depressed,
As her voice grow more feint.
I wait for the inevitable,
As I fall deeper into darkness.
...

You've taken something close to me,
It's like a part of me is missing.
The pain is getting worse,
And the voices grow louder.
...

Alone and afraid,
I stumbled in and out of relationships.
I started to lose hope,
In what I believed to be love.
...

I sat and waited for the end,
Slowly fading from existence.
I've been used for the last time,
It's time to gives this foolish life up.
...

Cut Cut Cut,
Visions of bloody wrists flash in my head.
Cut Cut Cut,
I start to puncture and soon I will be dead.
...

The slow and steady beat of one's heart,
So relaxing that I could listen all day and night.
The very thing that could help drift into dreamland,
And for once have pleasant dreams.
...

You say you care about me,
But where are you when needed?
You take away my happy thoughts,
Replacing them with sadness and pain.
...

9.

As I sit and stare at my awaiting canvas,
Thoughts race throughout my mind.
I wince as I start designing.
And the pain slowly fades away.

Old Love

Memories of laughter rush throughout my mind,
While flashes of what we used to be appear.
From role playing at the part,
To lying in the fresh spring grass.
We were always together.
Then came the start of school,
Even separated our love lived on.
Though soon we learned a life lesson,
The longer the distance the harder it becomes.
Love turned to paranoia,
Trust began to fade.
We fought and we cried,
At least we can say we tried.
After we split loving was tough,
Out of fear that it would happen again.
Eventually you moved on,
I faked a smile and even congratulated you.
Now we just barely talk,
Short conversations about the little things.
At times I think about how life would be,
If you were still here with me.
