Ghost Love

I love you, even though we have not met. Every night I lie awake and think of you. I need someone, someone to care for, someone to love. I love you, even though I don't know you. I see you in my arms in the bathroom mirror, but then you vanish; and I'm left cold and depressed with hope leaving my body with every new breath. I stay awake waiting, hoping, but you never come. And when I need you most, when I'm losing battles, you're not there. 'Where are you? ' I call out. then all turns dark. I feel as if a pit has swallowed me up. It seems that you will never come, that all my waiting was for naught. Is my mind playing tricks? And then suddenly, all becomes clear, you're just a ghost in a mirror.
