We are perfect, precise chameleons
transparent, colorchanging beings
Mirroring others and what we see
Shaping ourselves to what we want to be

The mists swirl, the moon shines bright.
No one dares stray here.
They would never desire to,
Unless the earth covers what they hold dear.

With clenched fists and teeth in turn
slamming down onto table top
her head drops low to the cool woodgrain
she prays for it all to go away, just stop.

I'd like to taste your chemical swirl,
Not your average tale of boy meets girl.
Cause you're blasting loud my rock and roll
That certain kind just sings to my soul.

I've been trying on new faces
Hoping with one I'll find my place
Cause I'm not sure what I want anymore.
I've written down a list just in case
...

There's gotta be something bigger than just this
There's gotta be something to make it all worth the risk
So I've been searching the world high and low
But there's many places I've yet to go
...

I got my hands up so high
I think I might just touch the sky
Carpe Diem, seize the day
It all just blows my mind away
...

dance
away in whisps
from the light

I know we could make this last...

But now all that's left of us

In the Autumn, I fell.
Broken, unholy, wrecked.
With time the trees withered
In envy, balances unchecked.
