Shoulders shaking, the pain sears
Burning heart with hurt and fear
Anguish reigns now you're not near.

And I can't touch you the way I used to
I can't feel you calm my fears
Or wipe away my falling tears

If you look after me
I’ll be a good companion
I will stand in a stable and look forward to the food you bring
I will ignore my urge to wander, to roam

The longer I am
The more I know
The less I know
Was what I thought

Ground me through life's vicious fight
Be there in the darkest night
Take me when I dread I might
Be less the woman for you by sight
...

Beautiful arc across the sky
Share your mysteries as light divides
All the hues from my dreams are there
Colours that fade when light tarnishes air
...

Oh beautiful little light of mine
In each day my son you shine
You give to all so much of you
The love, curiosity and decency too
...

An empty space between us
Because of a mistake of mine
Is a gap that I now yearn to fill
With our bodies intertwined

Looking at me strangely,
Every time I look at you
I wonder where you go to
When I've something else to do
