My friends are on courses - they don’t understand

I have a little bear
I keep him in my bed
He doesn’t have a name
I think I’ll call him Ted!

When I am here
right by your side
you know its me
I am your guide

Things in the here and now
we know not ‘why’
we know not ‘how’
but maybe in the ‘then’ and ‘there’

I close my eyes
and go to sleep
No passage of time
do I keep
...

Its not easy
sometimes its hard
to write a verse
for a birthday card
...

I walk with you
along the sand
Watching the sunset
holding your hand
...

A little apple tree
Needs to grow
Starts as a seed
Before a shoot doth show
...

Because of you
I was here today
I wanted to make
your pain go away
...

What lies behind those emerald eyes
As I watch her play or hear her cries
being here - the comfort she brings
with her playful games and silly things
