By profession I am an agriculturist. Graduated in Agriculture and postgraduate qualified in crop protection. Served in the Department of Agriculture in Sri Lanka and now a retired person. Poetry had been my most preffered and continued hobby since my school days. Writing poems in English started only few years back about ten of them were published in a leading Sunday Paper in Sri Lanka. Enjoy reading, nature loving, handicrafts and writing. more »

Nothingness

From the day ‘I' viewed the first ray
All fell on line, to have paved my way
Being conscious of, the role ought to play
Treaded the path, idling, not a single day

There was a maximum that I could do
Nothing more, for anyone to know
Time is simply right, for me to go
I claim nothing, may you not show

Let everything that constituted ‘I'
Degrade decompose, ask not why
Be that the last will of, all ‘you and I'
Emerges NOTHINGNESS, ought not feel shy

Take back all what you've given me
