A silent stalker lurks amongst the shadows of the trees,
Tread carefully or you'll be brought down to your very knees,
Dont' let him find you in the darkness alone;
As his ghastly stare will haunt & chill you to the bone,

An iron beast might come running through your town tonight,
Hollering loudly while he winds his way on to new sites,
His whistle echoes & resonates throughout the land;
He's hoping to capture your attention....which is his main plan;

My mood was gray...while my whole day seemed gray too,
Everything was spiraling out of control, causing me to feel oh! so blue,
A flat tire had left me feeling so stressed & weary;
While watching the road carefully I felt leary,

A lovely mermaid rests upon a solid rock bathing in the sun's light,
Often though she's hidden in the shadows of twilight,
Cloaked by the fog & mists from the temperal, calm sea,
She sits & ponders if a real person she could possibly be,

You'll see an enchanting mermaid dipping & diving & swaying her tail,
Disguised to confuse one into thinking her a porpoise or whale,
Often she daydreams of being more free like the people she sometimes sees;
But her life is still playful & carefree;

There once lived two souls whom both loved the sea,
But falling in love with each other was not meant to be,
One being a young, hearty sailor with a wayward way;
While his devoted mermaid lived near a bay,

There's a picture of you hanging in the halls of my memory;
That captures a smile that seems fixed in time,
Often it haunts the memories that are imprinted on my mind;
