About To Break Free

awaken to tell the dream
a daughter of suffer is about to break free
maybe i was born to tell a story of tears
paint a picture of sadness
or even write a book to be published in african history

battering tears for happiness
i realize what belonged to me is finally home

I shall now paint a world of smiles
surrounded by nature beneath my feet
while my past held my hand and taught me to walk free.
I am born
disciplined by my pain once a cut in my core
But now the sins of man forgiven
From the dawn of the rising sun kiss me smiling
Walk with me
see me claim my stay and
create a name
A daughter of man
