Jeffrey Rowe Poems

Can you imagine life without love
Or the heavens without stars?
What if there were no beautiful sunsets,
Or days without fun and laughter?

Sometimes it is difficult to realize all men were, one time, little boys
And as a little boy we were greatly influenced by our mothers.
We ask our mama's where did we come from?
And, what is love?

The Beautiful Gift Of You

Can you imagine life without love
Or the heavens without stars?
What if there were no beautiful sunsets,
Or days without fun and laughter?
How would we be
If there were only loveless nights
And boring dreams?
But, deep in our hearts, hidden,
Is all the mystery, magic and splendor
Wherein all our passions flow,
And Cupid enkindles our romantic desires.
Some say loneliness is good for our soul.
But, perhaps, it's in the longing of searching
And finding that special someone
That transforms our lonely times
To love's sweet surprise.
Yet, when I think of it,
What do I know about love?
In my mind, not much,
But in my heart—everything!
In the pages of my fantasies
And the yearnings deep inside me
I crave the flaming glow
Shining from your beautiful, alluring
And flirting eyes
Beckoning me to
Make you a special bouquet
Of tea colored roses
Draped with soft subtle hues of my love
So that I may untie your delicate ribbons
And unwrap
The beautiful gift of you.
