Driving down this road
This long, winding road
I know I've been here before
but nothing looks familiar
...

Now that I have you alone,
I can see the fire in your eyes
You’re not very good at holding it back
And tonight is the night
...

When I first saw you
It was like a burst of sunlight
Filling a cold, damp room
That had been long forgotten.
...

The few stars in the sky have learned quickly
how to break the silence that often lingers
between us.
Because I believe it when you say I’m incredible.
...

To you, I’m invisible
Intangible, indiscernible
That’s something you would say
I’ve dropped to my knees
...

Some days go by when
all I can think about is you
and I can't go on without knowing
...

Down This Road

Driving down this road
This long, winding road
I know I've been here before
but nothing looks familiar
There are other paths that branch
from this one
But I stay where I am at
Safe and secure

Driving down this road
The empty land whizzes by
There are no houses
There are no trees
Just flat, empty land
Though I am driving blindly
I seem to know where I am going

I am driving down this road
It may not be the longest
or the most beautiful
But it is my road
And I know that once I have traveled
long and far
I will finally reach the end
But for now I will continue
with my journey
And whatever journey I endure
I know it will not disappoint
