Everyone rushes past
A blur of byes
Or hi's on the way to the bus lot
...

Hold it close
Let it go by no means at all
Squeeze it
Lock it
...

I'll make it there
I have no choice
It wont be easy
I'll tell you that

Home
Everyone rushes past
A blur of byes
Or hi's on the way to the bus lot
Conversations start
Arguments end
But everyone is ready to go home
Except me

At school I'm great
A model student
When I want to be anyway
I know what to expect
I look forward to laughing with my friends
to working for the title of A+ student
But not at home

Off the bus
And up the street
I enter my so called home
Terrified to turn a corner
Cause I know that trouble lay up ahead

So I stay still,
I confine myself within the walls of my room
And wait for school to come again
But even there I cannot hide
Through my walls I hear it gaining

Maybe its the simplest thing:
I left the cloth on the counter
Maybe not:
I left the door open and unlocked
But what if that's the last straw
What if they can't take anymore?
And I get sent away
Far away

What if I can't take it anymore?
And I run away
Or do something wicked
Or maybe...
Maybe...
Even end me

Home
Home is not where I want to be
