I feel his spirit which moves me.
I feel his love which comforts me.
I feel his peace amidst strife.
I see splendor, majesty, miracles.

Dear is your beauty and priceless you are,
as every black boy and girl who must stand alone
in seas filled with pearls of different sizes and shapes,
but none, none to match their shade.

What's going on? You asked. My answer is nothing more than a revitalization of the cultural revolution in my soul.
Rock-stone! Me a Jamaican. Still, I am a Canadian.
The desire to ascend to heights unknown fills my spirit with tempestuous longing.
I know not my destination; yet I will know when I have arrived.

What Does God Look Like?

I feel his spirit which moves me.
I feel his love which comforts me.
I feel his peace amidst strife.
I see splendor, majesty, miracles.
I see character.
I see God in the grass, the trees, the mountains, the rivers, the oceans.
I see God in the ghettos, the palaces, the hills and in the valleys.
I see God in the AIDS clinic and in the food banks.
I see him in tears and in laughter.
He is everywhere.
He is all around me.
He is within me.
But, what does God look like?
He looks like you and he looks like me.
He is beautiful.
