Jessica Beatty Poems

I met you in a dream
I loved you even then
My angel
My savoir
...

Softly spoken I was not
Never soft
I have always had sharpe edges
The thought of soft things turns the bile in my gut

In the middle of the night
When I was away from you
Did you ever dream of me
Call out my name
...

The searing pain of your knife in my belly
The look of satisfaction on your face
as you lay beside me gleefully licking
at my wound with your forked tongue
...

I can and will shatter your whole reality
Hatred is such a week word
Full of grace is my rage
My hands full of you
...

Do you think I deserved it?
Were you justified in your actions?
When I lay on the floor bruised and crying
did you feel any remorse?
...

There is so much that I could say
I don't own enough words
I miss you these days
we don't talk enough

The Best Poem Of Jessica Beatty

My Savior

I met you in a dream
I loved you even then
My angel
My savoir
You saved me from myself
You breathed your sweet baby breath into the depths of me
The dark and quiet place
Where I saved the horrific memories
Now of another time and place
I faced my inner evils
I won the war within me
No more blood shed here
No more broken soul
No more agony
No more dispair
I mended the pieces of my shattered heart
The only real pain I can foresee
Is you growing up and leaving me.
