Jessica Paige Davies Poems

Dad,

The last time I saw you,
I was four.
...

Dry tears silently fall,
Eyes full of passion and emotion,
The animals voice broken,
Their life destroyed by a human call.
...

They give us the wings to fly,
They gallop and dance,
Neighing into the starry sky.
...

Cold droplets running slowly,
The crystallised water glistening,
Subtle lights gazing down,
The sharp shards shimmering.
...

Remember those memories?
The ones made of brilliant yellow,
A love built to last centuries.
...

Crystal ice,
And silver snow,
Little mice,
Dancing to and fro.
...

Tis a morning day,
Breath white mist,
Frost the colour of gray.
...

What can I say?
I don't understand,
I cannot see,
The word surrounding me.
...

Sitting and thinking I wonder to myself,
How many people reach their dreams?
How may achieve their goals?
Or does it all end in screams?
...

I'm lonely.
They've all left me.
My friends and family,
All gone with happy faces.
...

Have you ever done something you shouldn't have?
Something that should have never come to pass?
I'm not talking about drugs or alcohol,
Or theft or crime.
...

With my head held high,
I trudge through the crimson muck,
My dark eyes set on the amber sky,
With little hope and small luck.
...

Hi! Welcome to my page, I'm not very good at talking about myself, but here I go. - I do suffer with Dyslexia, therefore spelling, grammar etc is a big issue for me. - I also suffer with a heart condition known as a leaking aortic heart valve (genetic) and I have very low blood pressure, so I have to take tablets daily. - I first started writing novels about 2 years ago, and my first poem about 1 year - 8 months ago. - I live in the United Kingdom; proud to be British. - I adore my horses and my profession, but I also love to write. Well that's pretty much the basics covered for me aha, but I love to hear all kinds of feedback, so don't be afraid and drop a comment. I don't bite :))

A Final Christmas Message

Dad,

The last time I saw you,
I was four.
I don't remember your face,
Not even a smile to make my heart soar.

I truly don't remember,
Not even your eye colour,
It's all a blank mask,
A painted canvass getting smaller.

As the clock hand starting ticking,
I remember waiting in the cold,
Waiting to see your smile,
But you never showed; so I began to get old.

When was the last time you thought of me?
Did I even mean anything to you?
I'm a good girl; I promise.
So why do I feel so blue?

It's been fourteen years Dad,
Since I last saw you,
I honestly don't care anymore,
I'm only stating what's true.

You left me Dad,
You never wanted me,
You even moved overseas,
But at least you're free.

I'm sorry Dad,
I take that back,
I'm just being selfish,
Let me back track.

When I was a child,
Farther's day was a living nightmare,
I was always bombarded questions,
I remember crying and saying I knew you truly do care.

I know in my heart you love me,
You love my sisters and other siblings,
But why is it I don't remember?
I'm sorry ignore these scribblings.

You don't know me,
So I'll tell you now.
I love my horses,
And I love to write, but anyhow.

I've lost hope Dad,
So I'm sorry that life turned out this way,
Sometimes I wish I knew you,
But I have nothing more to say.

This will be my last message,
Our relationship is un-mendable; broken glass,
Farewell Dad, I really did love you,
Merry Christmas.

Your Loving Daughter x
