Once attached
Gradually unlatch,
Time trundles onward.

Somewhere lyes Meaning -
Just beyond my gaze.
Quietly it rests in the twilight
Under the coming night's gentle haze.

Slowly breathe in -
Intoxicate your lungs
Exhale, as if a thick Cuban cigar

Somewhere a moon rotates its white luminous form,
Drawing within the dark liquid the route for my leaving.
And so almost upon a shore, my body is gently withdrawn.

I am upon some sea afloat with no pre-planned route,
No destination, save for the stars I scatter from my hand.
No protection from the storm, save for sinews, skin and bone -
My rigging, sails and mast encased within me as one.
...

Above the water,
Before I leave the air
To disappear within
This viscose body.
