Jhonas Lumanlan Poems
When You Came
When you came, the rain stopped falling I found the rainbow hiding behind the mountain I rode a bicycle to it flying…singing singing like I’d never sing like it again
"All The Things That Softly Kill Me...
As a new day breaks, my heart battles a new kind of sorrow; that which of the unknown; yes, I'm at war with I don't even know. I don't understand why my eyes keep closing when I open them in the morning, I don't understand why my prayers remain about me forever sleeping.
I cannot resist the beautiful tempest though I know its evil I can't fight against the sweet.
If all the world should know How much I love you so I'll ride the moon up there above and count the stars that cannot love
Every time I release I think of you smiling Enticing the sin To come out again.
The Best Part Of Me
Have you ever thought That I'm always looking at you Wherever you are, whenever possible, However I can, Whatever time I can?
Let's take out all the stars from your eyes and close them to a sweet dream because when we see the night fade we will never enjoy the a new day.
That look of the rose, I remember when it called to me in thorns I remembered crashing to dreams and lights and music and memories.
The Living Poem
What I know of love is what I know of your smile What I know of happiness is what I know of your eyes What I know of life is what I know when you are beside me You are the reason I have a reason to live.
The Living Poem
What I know of love is what I know of your smile
What I know of happiness is what I know of your eyes
What I know of life is what I know when you are beside me
You are the reason I have a reason to live.
A tempest came and devastated my soul
Lightning struck and these letters panicked
The mirrors didn’t know what reflection to show
My face was the shattered pieces of my being
