My Bastions Of Truth...

My bastions of truth- shattered by reality
drowned in the bitter pool of all that we are.
I'm waiting for wild dreams to bring me
to the four corners of nowhere.

The world is spinning outside
and so am I.
The snow dips delicately- taunting.
If the moon could speak
It'd laugh at the games we play

I can't help but focus on your fingernails
trickling across my skin
the implication in your eyes
makes me wish things were different.

The waterfall of our liasons
crashes down around me
and I can't help but wonder
who you imagine
when you gaze at me like that
