On Ragland Road on a Spring day, I preached Jesus and I knew;
His giving me rest, and His very best, made me one of the few.
I saw the safety and chose to walk in His blessed anointed way;
And I said, “Let salvation be as a golden leaf at the dawning of the day.”

The snow of winter has all melted away,
Beautiful roses blooming this Spring day. j
A new season is beginning today,
For the Lord has said, He will make a way. i

On Ragland Road By Joe M. Ragland, J.D., Ll.M., Esquire

On Ragland Road on a Spring day, I preached Jesus and I knew;
His giving me rest, and His very best, made me one of the few.
I saw the safety and chose to walk in His blessed anointed way;
And I said, “Let salvation be as a golden leaf at the dawning of the day.”

On the straight road I did race along on its slippery and narrow ledge;
Avoiding the deep ravines on every side, by words of passion pledge.
The Queen of Darkness acting so sly, I chose none of her ways;
I walked in love, and by such and such, much happiness came that day.

I gave her grace so amazing, and the mysteries of the cross made known;
Proclaiming the true God, and His Son, not made of jewels and stone.
And the Good News I did share, and I gave her true poems to say;
She received Jesus as Savior, and she was made free as clouds in May.

On that quiet street where we did first meet, I see her walking now;
With a smile and uplifted hands rejoicing as faith and grace allow.
That I had wooed, as I should, a creature of God made of clay;
Heavenly angels rejoiced as she accepted Jesus into her heart that day.

On Ragland Road on a Spring day I preached Jesus and I knew!
