Beautiful Country

Oh what a humongously lovely land our nation is,
Bequeathed to us by our predecessors- our fathers of old,
Who our rights championed, bringing equity and peace,
From 1963 onwards we have our freedom relished- more precious than gold,
Vast stretches of beautiful, lovely yet stark contrasts,
Of steep as well as undulating landscapes, green tea bushes sparkling green in the sun,
Interspersed quite liberally with red dirt tracks upon which cattle hooves kicking dusts,
How I wish Luo,

[Hata Bildir]
