I've turned many stones in years gone by
Looking for something, not knowing what
Bent many blades of grass wandering meadows and fields
I was looking for something, not knowing what

I've watched clouds and stars fleet the sky

Rivers and Streams flowed beside my feet
I was looking for something, not knowing what

I caused pain and hurt, I nearly died
Looking for something, I know not what
I laughed a laugh, and tears I cried

I lived and I loved

I was pushed and I left
Still looking for something, I know not what

I stood by a church in the cold
Looking for something, not knowing what
She walked towards me, and then took hold
Will I keep searching …
