Should mortals dare trod where death has spun its deathly web
A simple gaze at night clear the thought of gloom, peace

Just today this morning I awoke so frantic
A heart full of rush I sprang to my legs
Up and risen I trekked to the mirror, I glanced
at my reflection with a dismal daze

To you the fairest of maids, I saw you as a holy
virgin, a sight worth tinkering to faith, yet I fell
So in love not knowing the spark lost it's heat

Should one see over yonder
A wondrous maiden with her long
Flowing gown
...

Why do thee jest at me? Are my dreams a laughable
Symbol perched upon me as a crown?

Is the age at which time has stood set back the ideas within my head

A glow that wanders the streets
Roaming the alleys in hopes of solace

A distended body suspended in dream
...

Oh is life not a wondrous play?
A role set by each and none two the same
I stroll amidst the crowds of actors
And playwrights each one a show for themselves
...

Oh! I do foresee the putrid kingdom
built from sorrow
Crafted from streams of wail and sighs
That form the clouds within the refuge thee Forsake
...

If death cometh my way upon my last breath
I will surely say to thee 'today is not my day'
If he wraps his horrid bony fingers round my neck
In an ensued deathly act I will indeed say
