Jose Duran Poems

you don't need to be a mathematician
To know that I am alone as
The square root of seven
...

Dreaming i say "Cry Cry cry……
Die die die…..
Goodbye bye bye …..
God please tell me why why why……..
...

As I yawn on the longest day
I awake at the center of a crowded maze.
As people walk by me I become bewildered
and started to look down a path in a daze.
...

O to be the black sheep
Not being able to make a peep.
Wanting to courageously make the leap
But realizing i am in too deep.
...

Here is an equation that is thoughtful
A math question that is mindful
First let x be beautiful
Then let y be graceful
...

Once upon a midnight dreary
Where light was
Weak and weary

Ghost and goblins Run to
...

This is a poem about a poem
Sentence about a sentence
Ink about ink
And whiteout about white
...

I want to let you know
that José coverts in English to Joe
There are five amazing letters that I know
They are H….E…L…L…O
...

I truly Envy a drop of water
The life it lives is better
Never turns around to suffer
Never stops to ponder
...

I wake up every day drowning
Remembering less of smiling then frowning
Tonight depression will have its crowning
As I cowardly submit to bowing
...

Your eyes expose
Your every need and desire
A subtle kiss
Ignites the fire

Square Root Of Seven

you don't need to be a mathematician
To know that I am alone as
The square root of seven

Seven are the days we breathe each week
Seven are the wonders of the world we seek
Square root of seven will never intertwine
Would I rather not be a 49?

This I do not know how I will fix
Do not know what formula will mix
I am forever hexed
As 2.646

O how I envy nothing
Since even nothing has something
As I am imperfect and weeping
Zero squared is rooted and smiling

Maybe I should just dream up a number
Just make believe one that is satisfactory
But no it did not work
Not even imaginary

Wait what is this I see
Could… could it be
Am I finally free?
Yes it is she
The term that was meant for me

A product from heaven
Another beautiful square root of seven
There are many great factors we have in common
Knowing that together we will function

Together we reproduce
To form the quotient of 14 and 2
No more square root taboo
Only my infinite love for you
