Joshua Cheung Poems

Death waits for prey,
Death stalks, pounces then slays.
Death waits for no-one,
Death is an army of one.
...

In tanks and trucks, off we go
Into the battlefield, can't say no
Let bullets fly, let blood flow
Don't let your mercy show.
...

There's no-one exactly like you and me
That's what's so cool about diversity.

We might be black or white
...

Sometimes, things may mysteriously not work
Sometimes, you get a feeling there's something in the dark that lurks
Sometimes things come out at night, plotting and making schemes
Sometimes, in my dreams, I can hear the frightened and dreaded screams.
...

Praise our knight in shining armor,
Lead on, dragonslayer.
Let shine his sword of truth,
And his shield of faith and youth.
...

The anger within me lays dangerously dormant,
But part of it still burns, a small remnant.
It slowly brews up within
Then unleashed with no care for making sin.
...

The sword desires to kill,
Slashing and clashing, blood it spills.
Swords were meant for war,
Swords aren't for the children and poor.
...

~~~! Death! ~~~
Death waits for prey,
Death stalks, pounces then slays.
Death waits for no-one,
Death is an army of one.
Stalking, pouncing, stalking, pouncing,
That's what they say he does.
Running, stabbing, running, stabbing,
Killing is what Death loves.
Death can be black, death can be white,
Death can take to flight.
I hope you have enough breath,
I hope you've enjoyed my tale about death.
