Am I The Man

Am I the man
Or am I the man
Who is father to the child
Swims in Mallorcan bay
Camps out in the open
Eats sardinas at the campfire
Loves and comes home late

Am I the man
To come down from the mountain
And linger by the sea
To stay a little while longer
Listen to the silver saxophone
The howling guitar
The sweet clavinette

Am I the man
Who’s lost in a dream
Confused in his nightmare
Falls to the floor with
The sound of breaking glass
Knocked on the hat
Wakes up in angustia

Wakes up to the see the world surround him
Keeps a close watch
