His bossy bride cried '' What a nerve!

When the crimson blaze of Autumn dies.

Judith Driscoll Bryan Biography

.. Judith Driscoll-Bryan is a prolific multi-talented writer with a quick witted smile and a love for the Miramichi. She is a budding Canadian Humorist of Renown. ...(her mother thinks so, anyway!) Judith is foraging ahead to perfect her own style of Comedic Rhythm + Rhyme. Currently, she views herself as just a mere fledgling amongst a flock of Poetic Condors! She laboriously strives to someday reach Artistic Maturity and when this highly anticipated period of Accredited Fruition is met, she hopes that her Unique Creative Signature will be indelibly etched, onto the hearts of all! Sad! But, true........ At the tender age of ten, due to Judith's gluttonous appetite for sweets, she secretly crawled behind an easy chair and devoured a whole box of candy.Much to everyone's dismay, especially hers, these happened to be her father's ''Liquor Chocolates''. Ten years old and she was as drunk as a sailor, on leave and sick as ANY dog, could be...and so regretful of her greed! Alas! To this day, Judith has never again, touched liquor or any intoxicants of any kind! In fact, she has never swallowed as much as an aspirin! All this, because of the folly that befell her, that day. ''So, don't blame Inebriety, For her fits of Fanciful Levity. In truth, t'is Innate Creativity.'' I say this, most assuredly! ' ..)

The Best Poem Of Judith Driscoll Bryan

Eeeeeeek! I'M Scared!

..
Horace P. Maggot, of no fixed address,
Para-sailed thru life Criminally Obsessed.
Fast cash? His prize! Trickery? His game!
Blame? Given to victims - both ill and lame.

His ill-gotten cash was recklessly spent.
Still, he had to cough up November's rent.
''No worry! ''.. he matter-of-factly said.
''There's always a fool, who'll butter MY bread.''

He sat momentarily in deep thought.
''A wily Perfect Scam? ''...is what he sought.
''Aha! I've got it.''said this thief, well taught
In 'How to Con the Overly Distraught! '

*GHOST HUNTER For Hire! Job Guaranteed.*
A sign, he painted and nailed to a tree.
A hoofed man appeared and eerily spoke.
''De-GHOST my manor and you won't go broke! ''

Equipped with a phony Ghost Hunting Kit,
Horace bused to Skull Lane, lickety split.
''I'll roam this manor and pretend to work,
Then, I'll grab my pay from that Spooky Jerk.''

He hid in the darkness from ghosts unseen.
Chewing on nuts and sipping caffeine.
Horribly frightened, he prepared to leave
As demonic tentacles gripped his sleeves.

Madly, he struggled to escape his doom.
Surrounded by ghostly Goblins & Goons.
''Ten crippled Tiny Tims would miss me so.
For the sake of m'sons, please let me GO.''

(Poof!) The hoofed stranger suddenly appeared.
T'was SATAN, himself and he snidely jeered...
''Your tricks have won you...my ADmiration.
Boys! Let's grant him Eternal Damnation! ''

...........................................................................

This Skull Lane Manor, now barren and cold,
...ivied and haunted by a Spook, so bold.
'Tis Horace, the Ghost, of Ghost Hunting Fame.
The Devil tricked him at his own Con Game!

(I wrote this poem when I was 11 yrs. old.
Hope it wasn't...TOO scary! : -)

Are you the lady that commented on my poem 'Charles. A man's man? ' If you are I thank you for your generous words. You are also a great looking lady. Witty poetry is something that I have not read a lot of but yours is very good. If you read all of my poetry you can see that I lean toward the serious. Thank you again Jim Richardson
