Justin Kopp Poems

The sensation that I'm alone lies heavy
Traveling roads still unknown
Drunk
Far from nirvana
...

Ungrateful and graceless people
Mostly the "insert" ones
Have taken the minds of most of the rest
They have sickened society to worldwide hysteria
...

Leaning on the lamp post
As I round up my breath
Staring down a rain soaked street
The sign is on the left
...

Whiskey dreams of lovely women
I sit with them alone
I think of my lost memories
That my heart cannot condone
...

Temptation is a thing of beauty
It gets the heart rate up
And clouds the mind just enough
Condensation
...

Corruption and lies
A devil by my side
Laughing at the pulpit
Their false gods and fragile idols
...

And the sun sets in the west
Only the sea hides it from view
So you dive
To its blackest depths
...

Five times I had to flick the lighter
I counted between writing the poem
While looking at the other people
In the overly windy and cold smoking corner
...

The crack of the ice tray,
Two cubes in a paper cup
No clean glasses, no clear urgency
Warm whiskey and tap water
...

That look in the old man's eye
Gave a reference to my past:
His sunken face holds the future of our children
As the white knuckles of time
...

Desperate women pave my path
And in my shadow I see the devil
It looks as if I've lost another round
I keep feeling as if the upper middle class mentality really has the upper hand
...

A change of pace
I need a new
Place to stay I need a job
And a brand new car
...

Men can go blind staring at the sun for hours
Waiting, just waiting
After awhile theirs tears aren't sad, but tired
Hot tears running past their nose over their lip and into their mouth
...

Death has gripped my heart like a vice
Squeezing out every last drop
Of blood or love
And that type of thing
...

This one's tough
It seem as if it's there and not
I haven't been able to come up with anything
Even now I'm ready to rewrite the whole thing
...

Bullfrogs singing melodies to the stars
The fog floats through the few lights of the lake
And the sky stretches over the ocean with diamonds in it
While the woods and the world
...

In the back alley
Where the rats are liars
And the cats carry six shooters
Where you watch your head
...

The Best Poem Of Justin Kopp

Pack Your Bags, I'M Leaving

The sensation that I'm alone lies heavy
Traveling roads still unknown
Drunk
Far from nirvana
Dancing with memories in a whiskey glass
Time travels fast
So long
