What's The Point?

Look at it sparkle, look at gleam…
The most beautiful bracelet I have ever seen!
I could wear it for school, show my friends what I’ve got,
I think my friends would also like it a lot!
But what about the cost? How will I pay?
I don’t have a job…I go to school and play.
Will the jeweller notice if I take just one thing
It’s a little girls bracelet…not a diamond ring!
I will be in and out, no one will know,
So I open the door and in I go.

I grabbed it real quick and held it so tight,
But then the jeweller stopped me, he gave me a fright.
“Morning little girls, can I help you today? ”
“No thank you” I replied “I’m just on my way”
I ran and I ran as fast as I could…
My hands were shaking, my heart racing with blood.
“I did it, I did it…” I shouted with pride,
My beautiful bracelet right here by my side.
I wrapped it round my wrist and clasped it together,
Then I strutted in school thinking I was so clever.

I walked in to class without any care…
Then began to notice my class mates stare.
“are they looking at me? Do they know what I’ve done”
Will the police find out…will I get sent to prison?
I will hide it away so know one will know,
I will put in my bag so its not on show.
But what was the point? as no-one can see,
My beautiful bracelet is now pointless to me! : -(
