Her streets gleam not, but lie in disrepair
The sun does shimmer down through smog of grey
A stench sometimes does filter through the air
The lanes for cars, they go naught but one way

My continent cries tears of blood and rain,
Her sons and daughters by the millions die;
Each country does it's heard rear up in pain
While children for their mothers, countless, cry.

Well I' been sittin' thinkin' here,
Sippin' on a pint O' beer,
Wonderin' why she went an' left me all alone.

We had no choice but to sell the house,
Well, the land on which it sits at least.

Our huge wooded lot a fool might accuse us of wasting-

Just a man,
Just a being,
Some humble creature of evolution.
To what does he owe this endless toil?

Her tail shimmers as she darts across the crystal sea.
Her lovely hair does seem to glimmer,
Tantalizing me.
This lovely creature all alone,
