I feel so little and alone when I look up at you
Your numbers are so vast
While I am just one
You lighten up the night sky so boldly
...

Empty hands marred with bold, black x’s
While feet tap to the ever steady beat
Over head the stars silently linger
Unseen but watching
...

I count these snowflakes
As they cling to my glove
How long will each last
Glistening in the dull winter sun
...

Standing there tall,
Seeming not to have a care in the world
Other then your fly getup
But not of what they think
...

One move at a time
I’ll let this pass by
Ever so sweet and slow
Ever so bitter and fast
...

Soaring through the cold-stone night
The empty soul searches
For the missing pieces of its world
As with time they have gone awry
...

Sitting here on the moon with you
We could watch the sun rise together
Distantly as it gives off its shallow warmth
Barely reaching us
...

There’s a termite gnawing at your structure
Oh poor little house
He’s planning to chew you straight through
Till the slightest winds
...

I feel so little and alone when I look up at you
Your numbers are so vast
While I am just one
You lighten up the night sky so boldly
Fighting with the street lights to be seen
Even though you're much less appreciated by many
But you're forever the brightest in my eyes
I wonder how the moon feels next to you
