Kaylo Littleton Poems

The crimson rose sits upon my shelf,
With petals of velvet so fine,
And waits for the day it is bestowed,
Upon the love of mine,
...

Where is the bright side,
When discord and pain,
Fall from the sky,
Like drops of rain?
...

I gaze off into the night,
And wonder where you are,
Are you happy, Are you Safe,
Have you healed your scars,
...

I feel it in my heart,
And deep within my soul,
An undenyable wanting,
An urge I can't control,
...

Son,
As I lay here on my bed,
Awaiting deaths embrace,
It pains me to see that look of anguish,
...

Daylight is fading faster with each breathe,
And soon the world will be in the hands of death,
His dark shadow destroying all that is tranquil,
Daylight is fading, Faster still.
...

You may judge me for my race,
Or the hue and tint of my skin,
You may judge me for my upbringing,
Or the places my home has been,
...

These hands weren't meant to harm,
They weren't meant to slay,
They were meant to care,
And keep worries at bay.
...

I look into the mirror,
And what do I see?
A fake smile reflected,
Eye's devoid of all glee,
...

It comes time for me to sleep,
Wearily I lay,
I turn to see the world outside,
Dismal and Grey,
...

We are the people in the backround,
We are the ones pushed around,
We are the ones who are hated,
And the voice with no sound,
...

It seems as if yesterday,
We had just met,
And now you are far away,
To far for me to get,
...

The Death Of My Rose

The crimson rose sits upon my shelf,
With petals of velvet so fine,
And waits for the day it is bestowed,
Upon the love of mine,
The sun's rays fall so gracefully upon,
Its stem, so full of thorns,
And whispers to me, such songs of sorrow,
When I happen to mourn,
And yet one day as I check my shelf,
To see its beauty once again,
I find a withered black stem,
Bent, and broken,
I stare in horror as I realise,
That I have hurt one I hold so dear,
And may have caused her feelings for me,
To change, or disappear,
I cry, ashamed and realised,
That part of heart knows,
I can never truly forgive myself for,
The death of my rose.
