Keea Healey Poems

Falling, slowly yet deliberately.
Falling away from the light, that which is sacred to me.
The wind sears my being as I fall.
The sky above me relinquishes its hold on my soul.
...

Awaken on this dimensional plane.
Sound surrounds me.
Light above me.
Beneath all can be seen.
...

If not for the lingering acquiescence of my heart.
This timeless passage would go unnoticed.
Passing unseen through the gregarious populous.
The listless awe that cannot be found draws ever closer.
...

When darkness surrounds us, all other hope is lost.
And so we wish to summon that which we have yet to forsaken.
But can we take this lingering adoration from our most beloved.
For without it all sorrows would be imprinted on loves soul.

Falling

Falling, slowly yet deliberately.
Falling away from the light, that which is sacred to me.
The wind sears my being as I fall.
The sky above me relinquishes its hold on my soul.
I plummet still further down, ever more reluctantly.
Beneath me the world opens, ready to consume me.

Falling by lights graces that I shall become separate, though never fully apart.
Falling for the sorrows of tomorrow that cannot be felt today.
Wings that could once spread to carry me back to my beloved, can no longer hold me.
The world beneath me ever closer, waiting for the moment.
I plunge into in and wonder can I ever be freed from its depths.
Shall I ever come to its surface, to my wondrous light again.
