I am so thankful
for our time and our years
but an emotional few weeks
broken hearts soaked in tears

This time we will spend
in 2 homes miles apart
will stitch up your wounds
and us a fresh start

A wife needs some kisses
not words laced with pain
give a hug and I LOVE YOU
don't be jealously insane

Listen to what she is saying
and hear things she's not
make sure she is important
she is the only wife you've got

I look ahead your returning
safely cuddled on my chest
my wife she's just perfect
