In Love With Martian Soil

What happened to our world?
What happened to its survival?
I am the hypocrite
I am a Wal-Mart overlord
Right here,
Yes, here in the Levi's
The world suffers at my hand
Whole species get murdered
In front of me,
Mr. or Misses Accessory.
Try explaining that one at those pearly gates
I pay them no heed
I've got what I need
To provide for ME,
Oh yeah, and my family
But this security I bought
Will too soon fade like the oceans fish
Around me

What happened to the world?
What happened to just surviving?
What's it going to take?
The last war cry or plague,
Left here...
To make us realize, just what we're doing?
Soon is just too late.

What happened to our world?
What happened to this place?
With fenced prisons we insure our immunity
From a world who means to live with us.
Right here...
'Hey you over there! Get out of MY yard! '
Clean this. Sterilize that. Make sure nothing,
Has a chance of surviving
Draw a line in the sand
See how long that lasts
You are not special, only slightly intelligent.

What was the last straw?
Why didn't they see it coming?
How did their super computer
Fail to recognize it's own demise?
Oops, Brick wall...
They could have spent a little more time
In love with nature
Pushing the envelope of science
To fix the untold poisons
They'd injected into their own lifesblood
They would be here now
In Love with Martian Soil
