Why do I feel so empty inside?
Like a hollow tree
Yet so many people know me,
Call me their friend, tell me I'm important to them

Why do I feel as if I was outcast by everyone?
Why do I feel as if nobody wants me around?
Was I destined to traverse this world alone, unloved and lonely?
How can I say I have friends yet nobody is ever around?
...

The man you look upon is broken
He can no longer stand the blows he must endure
He struggles to stand from the beatings of this world
There are no bruises, no physical contact yet he's been broken
...

Was it that night where we first met?
Or was it that night we first kissed?
Which ever night it was, those memories play nonstop
It keeps me up thinking, thinking why we moved so far apart
...

As the gun stares at me with such hate
I find myself alone and abandoned
Six Little friends is all I have left
Yet, it only takes one to give me peace, rest
...

Being at the center is where everyone else is
No matter how hard I try nothing changes
Why am I always the one to be in the outer circle
Almost an outcast, more like an acquaintance yet they say we're all family
...

Why is is that my mind floods with pictures and dreams of things I can't have
Another chase has begun. Another foggy path I've chosen to walk down
I feel like a dog chasing a rabbit in a dog race.
Sprinting after something I was never meant to catch.

Love is that feeling that you can't explain, but you know how it feels.
It'll make a man spend every dime he's saved on her.
Love will make you deny all the advice people gave, because you know,
that you're in love. That everything is ok, when they know it's not.

As I walk through the darkness, stumbling over all obstacles
I hear the voices telling me to believe. Believe in the God all mighty.
I yell out, God can't be real. The innocent die and the corrupt walk free.
They call back, God moves in mysterious ways.
