who is constantly on my mind,
and on days where I TRY to find
some other things to occupy

Many people will tell you I'm complicated.
What I can say is I'm simply emancipated
because to me it only makes sense
for me to walk, talk and dress in confidence.

you never really know
you're in the dark
until you see the light.

The thing is i fail to understand myself at times..
I sit and try to find words that will make my poems rhyme..
But that made me realise that I'm defying who Khat is all about.
I'm not comprehensive, or ordered like a Arithmetic sequence

Boy in ripped jeans, I'd choose you over that swaggered up boy any day.
Your delicate touch is what gives me chills down my spine.
Your love gets better but never gets old, au contraire, unlike wine
Your smart mouth and shyness is what draws me to you instead of that boy who thinks I'll melt at his feet with his mom's borrowed Benz and a 'Hey baby, how'd you do? '

Ultimately I wish to be in your arms once more.
Cause out of all the angels, you're the one I'll adore.
I remember, instead of birthday wishes I received condolences
Because even today it makes absolutely no sense

Khethiwe Ndlovu Biography
A 19 year old girl, ambitious, loud, outspoken, crazy, sensitive yet confident girl, with a big vision and purpose fighting to reach her goals. I love writing poems, song lyrics, the alphabet {just joking about the ABC's) , eating, shopping, laughing, watching movies so above all I'm just an adventurous person. I'm a sucker for romance but hate how movies portray love, like Boy meets girl, they fall in love, fight, break up, get back together then they live happily ever after like some Disney movie, as if that's what we live for. I'm currently studying at UKZN, but Hovard, Yale or Princeton watch the space, you'll soon see me in your premises...hopefully. I love playing video games, soccer, netball. There are days where I dress like a complete guy then on most days I dress like a Woman, because I like to refer to myself as 'that special' woman. So I guess I'd always keep people entertained and curious about the type of person I am. I love cooking, dancing hip-hop, singing, reading, going shopping{ sensing a shopaholic] and going on adventures. My goal is to keep as many people smiling, happy if possible, feeling good about themselves and loving themselves because that's the basis of a good, healthy and happy life. I am a PROUD Jesus freak, there's no man on this earth I'd love more than Christ, but calling him is such a downgrade anyways. I'm crazy and love being myself. I'm a blue print, I'm not a carbon copy of anyone.)

My King
There's this man
who is constantly on my mind,
and on days where I TRY to find
some other things to occupy
my supposed 'wasted' time,
I find myself staring at his eyes.
Because at night when I'm all alone,
He's the only one sees me cry.
Some of you may ask what he did so much
that makes me speak of him as such.
You see he was pierced on the side on the side for me
so that I can confidently say I am free.
He was whipped 36 times
leaving behind 36 stripes
so that I can boldly say by his stripes I am healed.
He was basically murdered so that I will not be killed.
He was nailed to a cross, crucified
so I can say, all my sins are left behind.
The crown of thorns he wore
was so that I may walk through heaven's door.
So while you boast about the man
that says he'll only call you if and when he can,
I'll sanctify myself in the love of my King
because at his table, that's all I can bring.
