The warm summer air heats up between us.
Time is moving so fast, yet this moment feels so slow.
"Forever, " he says.
"Forever, " I say.
The stars remind me again of the time.

summer closing, winter greeting

Our love is like a ticking time bomb.
It was born in the summer air and just like my mother's beloved garden,
Won't survive the winter.
Two roads set to diverge.
His road.
My road.

I wonder what his future wife is doing right now.
Will she love him like I do in this moment?
His eyes close.
My eyes close.
So many questions
so little answers.
His love in this moment,
My Love in this moment,
The warm summer air.
The only things I know without a doubt to be true.
