Lauren Kapusta Poems

The night comes around at last.
The stars shine like luminous diamonds.
My heart swells and falls like a sea.
The two feelings urge yet repel me.
...

Nearly a decade has melted away into,
The vast cruel sea of time.
From the bowels of obscurity, I found seemingly,
Insignificant troves of papers.
...

So a dream came to me late one night,
On swift silent raven's wings.
And it was of you, my bittersweet.
It was the first lovely encounter we had,
...

Darkness is all that is felt.
The halls are silent and empty.
The innards of the black-stoned home,
Are dismal and depressing.
...

Green, green, green...
Almost a paradise on Earth.
Birds chirp, nature's chorus.
Flies annoyingly buzz around my head.
...

Autumn is a season.
It is a season in which things seemingly die.
It is a part of life and the planet itself.
...

Autumn is the eternal state of my soul.
Everyday, I continue to wither and die.
The wings of the raven are my movement.
Grey skies line my retina.
...

Somehow, the sun finally set on it.
A beautiful, wonderful, joyful institution,
Cruelly put down by the ones who,
Claim it is still very much alive.
...

Philosophers, atheists, economists and the,
Elite can't seem to decide on one thing:
What is peace?
It is only an opinion of the heart to me.
...

Obsession is a python that agonizingly,
And mercilessly crushes the spirit.
The embrace of death is lovely and bitter-sweet.
It can lull you to your private Heaven.
...

She slouches in her prestigious seat,
Her eyes heavy with apathy.
Her once happy visage glows with grave sorrow.
Torn by a sense of guilt, she sits in uneasy silence.
...

Moonlight is my companion as I begin.
My shadow, my only friend.
I look up anf behold, I see a full moon.
A pallid color makes it seem,
...

I'm so strict in love.
I push away all that I can have,
But that will probably not have me.
I feel I am in love.
...

Rain falls but doesn't moisten him.
He sees black-clad people gathered.
Flowers are thrown into a hole.
The holy man's words fall on deaf ears.
...

Sunset over the crystal blue waters.
The shadow of the palm tree growing.
Sand slowly losing its warmth.
Silhouettes of gulls against the dulling sky.
...

Gray skies are all I see.
My eyes still bleed tears.
My heart still beats in a sad tone.
I am alone and grieving.
...

At heart, she is an angel.
But the world around her turns her sad.
She would have white wings.
She would be happy.

Lauren Kapusta Biography

I've loved writing since I was a little kid. Fanfics and poetry are my favorite areas and I wish to be a writer/poet/zoologist someday! I love poems on nature, the supernatural and feelings from the heart and I preferably write in such subjects. I'm a fan of John Keats, Edgar Allan Poe and Emily Dickinson. Blank verse is my favorite style to write in. I will happily receive and appreciate constructive criticism with my works. I know they are not perfect. :))

Evil (A Haiku)

Some are born with it.
Some recieve it as time goes.
