To One Far Away...

To one far away...

To one far away, there's so much yet so little to say
How can I ever summon the strength to face another day
Without feeling that things are broken, words have not been spoken
Actions not taken yet all importance has been forsaken
And cast into an empty void free of all emotion, free of all devotion
Free from the waves that disturb my mental ocean...

Another day feels like an eternity, sorrow fills my soul you see
And leaves me without hope, in a hole without a rope
Nothing to free myself from the darkness that devours me
No words uttered, no sounds muttered, nothing to empower me
Hanging from this cross of despair, this punishment unfair
Waiting for a sign that shows me what I am already aware...

If I can change this fate, turn the corner before it's too late
And relay this message loud and clear, for the whole world to hear
Is there a chance I should fail, upon stormy seas sail
Wash up on shores where nothing is heard but screams and wails
Let it be.....let me fall before the whole world to see
And let my final words be heard throughout history.....
